Yonsei University, which has continued a 130 year history and tradition, has embedded its history, traditions and memories over the years on Baekyang Street. Baekyang Street, the main street of the school which all students would take to get to their classes and back home, has achieved its clear goal to create an underground space and re-arrange the above ground space through the Baekyang Street Recreation Project. Above all, it solved the lack of space that the university had had since its expansion and improved deteriorating facilities, which had posed threats to student safety. Also, education, research underground space to regenerate Baekyang Street as the center of the campus where the Yonsei university student and faculty members interact and communicate with one another.
