Although the form of Myongji Hostpital is atypical due to the irregular shape of the site, as the land usage of the surrounding area was converted into land for medical facilities, it became possible to extend the building into a more regular form. After the remodeling of the existing building and expansion of the new building, at the end of 2004 the hospital opened its doors as large-scale, 600 patient bed general hospital. A ‘good’ hospital can be determined by the comfort and spaciousness felt by the patients, as well as the efficiency and convenience experienced by medical staffs. Myongji Hostpital will be remembered as one of good hospital remodeling project for a long time.
