Participation in Gansam, Suwon Hwaseong Architecture Project 'Architecture of Structure Exhibition'

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is the largest royal palace in Joseon and was built by King Jeongjo, the 22nd king of the Joseon Dynasty, by combining traditional construction techniques with Eastern and Western science and technology.

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, which marks its 222th anniversary this year, has become a record of life and a memory of the city with its architecture that reflects the ideals, realities, and future values of the time, from the frame of urban planning to the process of development.

The Suwon Hwaseong Architectural Project exhibition 'Architecture of Structure', which explores the structural and historical meaning of Suwon Hwaseong's architecture, will be held until June 10 at Suwon I'Park Museum of Art.

The architecture exhibition of this structure, which is held as the museum's first exhibition this year, is designed to show the aesthetic value of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress, one of the finest examples of oriental fortress architecture, and to present thoughts and attitudes that are still meaningful today from a modern perspective.

Gansam Architecture, Kim Ki-jo, Kim Eok, Nam Gi-seong, Industrial Reserve Army, Yang Jeong-wook, Yoon Je-ho, Lee Myung-ho, and Jeong Isaac Jeong, a team of nine artists, added artistic imagination to the various stories behind the architecture, and interpreted the diverse spectrum of Suwon Hwaseong architecture from a contemporary perspective. show
