Sihwa MTV Wave Park

Wave Park, the world's largest artificial surfing park, opened on Turtle Island in Siheung, Gyeonggi-do. The project began as a competition for developing a marine leisure complex on Turtle Island, aiming to create a complex facility that would become the cornerstone of Siheung as a tourist city. Inspired by the beaches of Hawaii and Bali, the sacred place of surfers, it boasts an exotic atmosphere bordering on famous overseas travel destinations. Surf Cove, which uses 26,000 tons of tap water to fill the area, creates 18 different waves, once every eight seconds, through special equipment located in the middle of the surfing area. In addition to surfing, Wave Park offers a variety of courses for family visitors. It provides various amusement facilities for children and adults, such as artificial skin scuba diving facilities, a snorkeling zone, and a wave pool. In the artificial lagoon, you can also enjoy multiple marine sports such as kayaks, water bikes, blob jumping, snorkeling, and water caravans. As a place filled with various urban pleasures, such as artificial surfing facilities, experience, relaxation, culture, and leisure, Wave Park is emerging as Korea's hippest marine leisure space.
